Our First Ever Telugu Song

To create a song that resonates with the story being told on screen has been our attempt with Meher Teri, a TWF cover of Mumford & Sons’ I Will Wait for Inder & Simran’s film. Watch the making below to see what went behind creating this soulful rendition.

What the world needs now, is stories like this. Rahul would do anything to make his daughter’s dream come true, and so when Vipasha told him she wanted The Wedding Filmer, he flew his own plane to Mumbai to meet me and see what the fuss was all about and we became friends instantly, which made making this film so special. Vipasha and her mum came to Mumbai too, and she expressed a desire to sing at her Sangeet, but she didn’t want a Bollywood song. It didn’t take me long to realise the keyword after she told me about Chan. Vipasha is a very fortunate girl. Her father did make her dreams come true. And then there’s CJ, who loves and adores her for who she is! He lived his whole life, more or less alone but in Vipasha, he found someone he could share his life with, and not have to ‘adjust & compromise’ as Mrs. Taparia would define what a marriage is. According to CJ, marriage is being there, even when the sky falls! Which is such an unusual song to use for a wedding video considering the original source is a James Bond film! But Usha Uthup sang it live at the wedding and every word seemed so apt and oh so dramatic! If this isn’t a highlight what is? When filming Pernia and Sahil’s wedding, it dawned on me that we just witnessed one of the most graceful bridal entrances ever! But it wasn’t just Pernia’s stunning designs and impeccable taste that stood out. It wasn’t just the joy and warmth of their friends and family that made this easy and it wasn’t the near perfect weather that made this wedding so memorable. It was the hope they left us with. Hope that we’re better together, and not alone.⁣

When two of our favourite designers finally get married, it’s bound to be ethereal. Kunal looked like a modern day Nawab, and Arpita was so happy to be married, she couldn’t help sway to her mandap. They struggled for 13 years to be together, because he was Irish and she was Punjabi, but through it all, she knew she wanted a wedding film by us. I met Anita & Colm in London, back in 2019 to discuss her story… but then soon after the world stopped and the wedding kept getting delayed, but her decision to have us capture her days never wavered. Finally filmed over 7 days in Kent & Brighton, this film is a documentation of how this day came to be from almost everyone’s point of view, In multiple accents and languages! I remember taking a shot of them posing for a family picture and I said to myself “I could easily be a part of this family.” And so effortlessly I became one. We all did. This was the wedding The Wedding Filmer fell in love.You see Nikki is Anita’s sister! The wedding may have been delayed by two years but it just goes to show ‘Timing is Everything’. Within 4 months of knowing Poojitha, Harish knew she was the one! Although Poojitha took some time, she eventually realised that if she had to spend the rest of her life with anyone, that would be Harish! From meeting at our studio to now adopting us as their family, Poojitha and Harish are two adorable people we’ve come across and their story is an epic celebration of love! ❤️ After Bandhamey, here’s our second Telugu #TWFOriginal, ‘Madhi Tega Murisay’.

Dharshinee and Vishal's wedding was one of the first few we filmed after the long lockdown last year. Dharshinee got in touch with us well before COVID was a real concern. Yet as the world was thrown into uncertainty, Dharshinee was certain she would get married on her chosen day and have us there to film it. When I finally met her in person: sweet, gentle and wise beyond her years I realised that it was with the same spirit that Vishal and she had navigated the ups and downs in their relationship- keeping an eye on what they wanted and never giving up. And it paid off- they got married in November, with the blessings of all their loved ones and luckily for us, with us filming it! So, what did I learn from this experience? Exactly the same lesson that Dharshinee learnt from her love story…
