To create a song that resonates with the story being told on screen has been our attempt with Meher Teri, a TWF cover of Mumford & Sons’ I Will Wait for Inder & Simran’s film. Watch the making below to see what went behind creating this soulful rendition.

Ever since I was a little kid, it was a dream to have a picture of my family dinner with all the people I love. Many years on I learnt one more thing. The reason for our success lies in the crew we nurture. I cannot do this alone. To make 350 loving documentary films over 10 years is no small feat. You need a crew. A family to have your back on days you can’t carry on. You know the joy you feel when you dream of something but then the reality is even better? That is what this dinner felt like. This is us. Celebrating A Decade of Dreams. ❤️(PS: This was the moment we were told there was going to be a lockdown! 🤣)

Ideas are not born out of a mystic void. They are little breezes of inspiration that we catch from the people and the places around us. With Riccha & Andrew, it was watching them perform at the Sangeet which inspired all of us to make this song, including them.

What the world needs now, is stories like this. Rahul would do anything to make his daughter’s dream come true, and so when Vipasha told him she wanted The Wedding Filmer, he flew his own plane to Mumbai to meet me and see what the fuss was all about and we became friends instantly, which made making this film so special. Vipasha and her mum came to Mumbai too, and she expressed a desire to sing at her Sangeet, but she didn’t want a Bollywood song. It didn’t take me long to realise the keyword after she told me about Chan. Vipasha is a very fortunate girl. Her father did make her dreams come true. And then there’s CJ, who loves and adores her for who she is! He lived his whole life, more or less alone but in Vipasha, he found someone he could share his life with, and not have to ‘adjust & compromise’ as Mrs. Taparia would define what a marriage is. According to CJ, marriage is being there, even when the sky falls! Which is such an unusual song to use for a wedding video considering the original source is a James Bond film! But Usha Uthup sang it live at the wedding and every word seemed so apt and oh so dramatic! If this isn’t a highlight what is? When filming Pernia and Sahil’s wedding, it dawned on me that we just witnessed one of the most graceful bridal entrances ever! But it wasn’t just Pernia’s stunning designs and impeccable taste that stood out. It wasn’t just the joy and warmth of their friends and family that made this easy and it wasn’t the near perfect weather that made this wedding so memorable. It was the hope they left us with. Hope that we’re better together, and not alone.⁣

When two of our favourite designers finally get married, it’s bound to be ethereal. Kunal looked like a modern day Nawab, and Arpita was so happy to be married, she couldn’t help sway to her mandap. They struggled for 13 years to be together, because he was Irish and she was Punjabi, but through it all, she knew she wanted a wedding film by us. I met Anita & Colm in London, back in 2019 to discuss her story… but then soon after the world stopped and the wedding kept getting delayed, but her decision to have us capture her days never wavered. Finally filmed over 7 days in Kent & Brighton, this film is a documentation of how this day came to be from almost everyone’s point of view, In multiple accents and languages! I remember taking a shot of them posing for a family picture and I said to myself “I could easily be a part of this family.” And so effortlessly I became one. We all did. This was the wedding The Wedding Filmer fell in love.You see Nikki is Anita’s sister! The wedding may have been delayed by two years but it just goes to show ‘Timing is Everything’. Anita, Colm, Thank you for sharing your days of love with the world. I’m hoping it inspires them to find a love like yours.
